With more than 15 years experience working for Air France, Mr. Cros has contributed to the airline in a variety of positions. From 1992 to 1996 he held the position of Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Air Inter. In 1996, he became Regional Manager for Morocco and Algeria at Air France; in 1998 he was appointed Senior Vice President in charge of Special Affairs for the Chairman; and in 2003 he assumed the position of Senior Vice President for Africa and the Middle East.
Mr. Cros began his professional career in 1974 with the French Government where he worked in the Department of Labor and the Department of Industry until 1986. For the next six years he held various management positions in human resources at Spie Batignolles and Groupe Thomson.
As the Vice President and General Manager for the USA, Mr. Cros will be responsible for the carrier's largest division outside France, leading a team of over 800 employees. His duties include overseeing all U.S. operations, including sales, distribution, finance, marketing and communications, quality assurance, as well as cargo and airport operations. "I'm truly excited to lead Air France USA into a new era and to build upon the successes of Mr. Malé and his team. It is an honor to be a part of such a talented group that has propelled the Company to excellent growth in this market, most recently with the addition of our new gateway in Seattle. My goal is to continue on the same path," said Jean-Claude Cros, Vice President and General Manager, USA.
Mr. Cros graduated from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Commerciales Appliquées with a degree in finance. He also graduated from the University La Sorbonne, where he studied economics.
