AMA, Antiques Markets Accompaniment, has been created to help serious and professional antique buyers find top antiques in France.

AMA unites elite antique collectors and art and antique professionals for successful collaboration to help collectors have an easy and stressful experience buying in France. Riad  Kneife, Aline Bachelier and Philippe Methiaz, professional guides who specialize in Antiques and Art, created AMA after noticing a hole in the market for collectors who either had difficulty finding professionals for advice on their purchases in France; or who simply were intimidated by the process of purchasing and shipping home antiques and art to the US.

AMA will be working with travel agents, individuals and professionals.

ANTIQUES BUYING SERVICE IN FRANCE
A small revolution in the world of Antiques.

Riad  Kneife, Aline Bachelier and Philippe Methiaz, professional guides who specialize in Antiques and Art, have created the AMA, the Antiques Markets Accompaniment.

This Association, which is the first one of its kind in France , is geared towards professionals and individuals as well as travel agencies.

The Association was created because of the lack of information about Antiques and their availability, when in fact France is the biggest Antiques market in the world.

It is true that Flea Markets and antiques dealers are listed in all regions of France. However no structure was available to connect the many buyers, antiques dealers, decorators, or individuals, to the sellers.  The AMA professional guides fill this void, working side by side with the prospective buyer from the start to the end of their project, researching the desired piece, and seeing to its packing and handling no matter its size, weight or fragility. They become an indispensable and resourceful link between buyer and seller.  From a Louis XIII armchair to Napoleon III style furniture, along with Art Deco lights, the 16 Flea Markets ( Marches des Puces) of Paris-Saint-Ouen offer diversified merchandise. It is not always easy to accurately date a piece or to pick the real antique from the copy.  The AMA guides are able to reveal the basic principles that allow them to recognize the different styles or periods and lead their clientele on a journey through French history as well as art history.

The AMA Association proposes:

- in a complicated and confusing market, to listen to the requests and needs specific to each and every client,
- when it is possible, to create a custom made itinerary in search for a particular item,
- to evaluate every piece, its period, quality, style, origin etc..,
- to help negotiate and secure a successful purchase,
- to offer a direct contact with a shipper who is specialized in antiques and is a member of the transport Association, to provide tracking of the merchandise to its final destination,
- to guarantee to all buyers that the guides will conduct themselves at all times in a professional and ethical manner.

The AMA guides are fluent in English and French. They are very familiar with the diverse markets and antique shows and are also very knowledgeable in art history.

The professionals of the AMA Association thus allow antique and art buyers to save a considerable amount of time, permit better negotiations, sometimes help to get access to confidential locales, and lastly, to find one's way amid the multitude of markets and displays. (There are more than 2 000 merchants in Saint-Ouen only!)
The Guides are professional, specialized, and for many years they have been at work on all markets, familiar with all styles of antiques as well as all types of art.

Riad Kneife is President of the Antiques Market Accompaniment Association and also the Founder of the Company C.S.A., Consulting Services Antiques. Aline Bachelier-Gunderson is Manager of the Company Let's Go Antiquing.  And Philippe Methiaz is Manager of the Company Itiner'Art International.

They practice their trade on all the Flea Markets, foremost in Saint-Ouen, (impossible to ignore by the serious collector, professional or individual), in all antiques districts in Paris or major provincial cities, and at each and every possible stall or display.

They have already attracted a faithful clientele of professional antiques dealers, decorators, architects and individual buyers.
