Mediaeval jewel set in a crown of greenery, ideally situated to the east of Antibes, Biot has preserved its quality of life and identity, heritage of its history and creative craftsmanship. The arrival of artists such as Fernand Léger, whose museum stands at the foot of the village, and Eloi Monod, who originated the Biot tradition of blown glass, generated a wave of creative energy, whose results can be seen in the workshops and galleries of glasswork, pottery, ceramics and jewellery. Biot crafts are vibrant and varied.
