General description  :   Halfway between Germany and Spain, in the Auvergne region, Cantal is the largest volcano in Europe (70 km in diameter). It offers authentic nature to people who want to go hiking, horse-riding, bicycle touring, mountain biking, swimming and other water-based activities, skiing and other winter activities or even practise air sports…

Through the “Loveliest Villages of France”, you will marvel at the extraordinary quality of our architectural heritage (Romanesque churches, castles, museums…). Do not forget to taste our 5 AOC cheeses (AOC: label that guarantees the origin of the product) that are made here: Cantal, Salers, Fourme d’Ambert, St-Nectaire, Bleu d’Auvergne. Gastronomy is in the heart of the Cantal festive tradition that completely meets the authentic and convivial character of the local people.
