Starting with a weather-beaten 18th-century building, Dany & Philippe Hellio took a gamble in creating a rural gîte with an environmentally friendly approach (roof structure made from untreated oak, fireplace made from local stone, insulated using hemp wool, plastered with hemp and whitewashed with lime, using geothermal energy, Canadian shafts...), while still respecting the "soul" of the building. In the tranquility of the Tours countryside, at the heart of "France's Garden" you can appreciate comfort and wellbeing created using living materials, without pollutants.
Dany & Philippe will be pleased to help you discover their region and its wealth of culture, architecture and gastronomy as well as the peacefulness of the surrounding nature. You will have the freedom to stroll around the 3 hectares of their estate, in the company of donkeys, goats, ponies and lambs; or to relax at the edge of the lake. |
