Exhibition: "Voyous, voyants, voyeurs" (louts, clairvoyants, voyeurs)

From  11/28/2009  To  1/16/2011

The musée d’art et d’Histoire Louis Senlecq (Louis Senlecq Art and History Museum) in L’Isle-Adam (Ile de France), presents the exhibition "Voyonus, voyants, voyeurs" (louts, clairvoyants, voyeurs) from 28 November to 7 March 2010.

The exhibition follows the very successful monographic retrospective presented at the Musée de Picardie in Amiens in 2007.

The current exhibition is devoted to the painter Clovis Trouille (1889-1975), nicknamed “The Great Master of the All Permissible” by André Breton and his fellow artists, including Alfred Courmes and Pierre Molinier.

It paints a vivid panorama of the paintings of Clovis Trouille, who was first discovered by Salvador Dali at the Exhibition of Revolutionary Writers and Artists in 1930, where Trouille’s work “Remembrance” was displayed.

Two other museums will host the exhibition:
The Musée Rimbaud in Charleville-Mézières (Champagne region) from 15  May to 21 September 2010.
The Musée du Vieux Château in Laval (Western Loire region) from 16 December 2010 to 16 January 2011.
