General description  :   Throughout the world, the OrsayMuseum is best known for its Impressionnist collection. Many also appreciate the uniqueness of the site : the train station built in 1900 for the World's Fair.

However, the Orsay Museum is, above all, the museum encompassing all arts from the period 1848-1914. Architects, painters, sculptors, and creators of the decorative and industrial arts of the latter half of the nineteenth century, are richly represented.
