Herve Novelli Announces the Creation of Atout France
|
| The Secretary of State for Commerce, Artisanal industry, Small and Mid-sized Business and Tourism, presided this morning over the general assembly of Maison de la France and confirmed the creation of Atout France, a new association, the France Tourism Development Agency. |

MDLF finds optimism in the face of challenge for travel to France
|
| Following the near-record of 3.25 American visitors in 2007, it appears that results for 2008 will be down about 11% for 2008. Expenditures by Americans are expected to reach 5 billion dollars. Global results for foreign visitors will be announced soon by the Ministry of Tourism, but figures indicate a positive result, in that the record number of 82 million foreign visitors in 2007, should be maintained in 2008. |

2009: The year of Picasso in Provence Côte d’Azur

| Two once-in-a-lifetime events relating to Picasso will be taking place in 2009 in Provence making this year truly, “The Year of Picasso”: An exhibition at the Granet Museum in Aix en Provence and the exceptional opening of the Château de Vauvenargues where Picasso is buried. |
