The small fishing village of Grand-Rivière is one of the most picturesque places in Martinique. It has often been completely cut off from the rest of the island after heavy rains. You can see children challenging the huge waves of the Atlantic on surfboards called "floats" which are made from tree trunks. Quite a sight. Le Lorrain is a big pre-Columbian site celebrated for its spectacular views.
